Food at Omaka

FOOD AT OMAKA

At Omaka camp the kids were in charge of the food.
At first I did not think that this would be a good idea. You, kids in the kitchen, mess, more mess etc…
Any way, it was GREAT!

This meant that the kids could have fantastic food!
My group, for example, had French toast for breakfast on one day and then bacon, eggs and hash browns the next!
I liked cooking for my group because I have only ever cooked for family, and these guys gave me loads of compliments and had no trouble devouring TWO bowls of crumble.
And, when I was cooking the BEH (bacon, eggs and Hashbrowns) I've never cooked bacon or eggs or Hashbrowns but my group said that it was great!
They couldn't tell that I'd never cooked those things before.

That is why I liked cooking for my group, they made me feel special because they liked my cooking.  That was really nice for me.

  1. Rhianna that is so nice. I am really pleased that the boys in your group appreciated your fine cooking skills. I think that cooking on camp was a valuable experience for everyone. $100
